PHOTOGRAPHING THE WINTER GARDEN
Date: March 10 - 11, 2018
Hours: 10am - 4pm
Location: Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
1800 Lakeside Avenue
Richmond, VA 20228
If you have never photographed this garden at the end of winter, this is your chance. Barbara will guide you through the garden, examining the unusual plant forms - some in their dormant state while others are starting to emerge. You will create images using the lines and curves of the plants, to accentuate movement and flow while recording the contrast of the two seasons.
Converting your files to black and white, you will select an image to "add the color back in" through the use of pastel pencils.
This class includes a critique of your images and discussion of how they could be best presented in printed form.
