This workshop will explore the use of pastels to create a turn of the century look, changing your photograph to a mixed media piece of art. You will learn the various ways to apply pastels onto cold and hot press paper while working on Barbara's pre-printed images.   Selecting two of your photos, you will use the information to work on your own images.

In this two day workshop, you will learn ways to photograph in the garden with a theme in mind.  After capturing your images, you will be guided through the selection of images and the structuring of the pop up book to create a unique stand alone work of art.  Sharing your imagery with others through the simple book sculpture or pop out card is a lovely gift.  

Bring your camera and laptop along with your enthusiasm.

CREATE A GARDEN CANVAS

Date:  Saturday, September 22, 2018

Hours:  10am-4pm

Location:  Goldvein, VA

Cost:  $225.00  

(includes materials for one canvas approximate size 20"X20" or 18"X24")

 

You will bring your favorite photographs to review and chose the one that you wish to print as garden art.  Using a large format printer, you will print your file on canvas, gallery wrap it and varnish for protection from the elements.  Including your artwork into your landscape or gardens is just another way to display your work.
